InfernoSIM Azure release notes

Azure extension packages use their own version numbers. The open-source engine is pinned to InfernoSIM v4.0.1.
0.1.2 — Marketplace plan defaults#
Corrects the shared Marketplace chart so selecting Enterprise applies two operator replicas and a disruption budget without a separate values file. Pro keeps one replica and no disruption budget. Explicit overrides remain supported. Seven packaged-chart regression cases cover plan defaults, nulls and explicit overrides. The operator and runner application images remain 0.1.1; this is an installation-package correction.
0.1.1 — executable workload cleanup#
The uninstall hook stops the operator and removes Jobs and CronJobs only after verifying controller ownership. Historical run resources and customer evidence are retained. This fixes a 0.1.0 defect that could leave a recurring simulation behind after removal.
The published 0.1.1 images passed a real AKS direct Helm installation, encrypted Blob verification, scheduled execution and uninstall with default-deny egress configured. Owned executable resources were removed; unrelated test pods and historical run statuses were preserved. CI includes unit/race/static checks, Helm lifecycle and packaging checks. Published images were signed, signature-verified and scanned.
Validation scope#
The AKS validation used one Linux AMD64 node, Workload Identity and synthetic incidents. Contract/workflow reports and safe-versus-unsafe agent fault fixtures were exercised. This does not establish compatibility with every agent or production incident.
Microsoft Marketplace acquisition, extension-managed lifecycle and billing require validation through the Marketplace flow. Multi-node failover, zone outages, private-endpoint-only operation, customer-managed-key rotation and actual locked retention were not established by the recorded direct Helm test. See the guide for configuration boundaries.
0.1.0 — superseded#
Introduced the AKS operator, one-off and scheduled runs, customer-owned Blob/PVC evidence, Workload Identity and Pro/Enterprise policy controls. Use a later package containing the uninstall fix.
